Rapid Response for Critical Care
We are a collaborative team of engineers, clinicians, and academics who have swiftly come together to address unmet needs during a global health crisis. Representing a coalition of local universities, hospitals, multinational MedTech companies, and start-ups, our goal is to implement rapid solutions to support healthcare workers in responding to unprecedented challenges.
Our Mission
We are part of a broader initiative spanning the journey of a virus from transmission to critical care and recovery. Our specific team was tasked with a critical objective: investigating a safer way to ventilate multiple patients from a single ventilator.
The Need
A WAY TO INCREASE VENTILATOR CAPACITY FOR PATIENTS IN EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE THERE ARE NO OTHER OPTIONS AVAILABLE.
Our Solution
Taking into account emerging data on safety and efficacy concerns, our team has developed a specialized system following a period of intensive design and testing. This system is capable of providing independent tidal volume titration to two patients simultaneously, offering a vital lifeline in resource-scarce environments.
Our Ethos
All work on this project is completed on a voluntary basis. The primary aim of our platform is to freely share our information, designs, and findings in order to speed up the development of life-saving solutions globally.
Supported By
This initiative is proudly supported by leading university hospitals, academic institutions, and bio-innovation organizations dedicated to needs-driven opportunities in healthcare.
